Passport Office to hold 2-day mobile seva camp at Karhama | KNO

40 appointments will be processed per day, says RPO Kumar

Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNO): Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Kashmir and Ladakh, Davinder Kumar, on Tuesday said that two mobile passport seva camp will be held at Karhama in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on January 30 and 31. Kumar while talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, “The mobile passport van, equipped with the facilities required to process passport applications, is part of the government’s efforts to bring essential services closer to remote and rural populations.” The van will remained stationed at Tehsil Office Karhama from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday and Friday. The Regional Passport officer said that 40 appointments will be processed per day during the camp, ensuring a streamlined service for applicants. “Those interested are required to book their slots online via the Passport Seva portal using the Camp ID: RPO Srinagar Van-Budgam,” he added The initiative, he said, provides an opportunity for individuals to apply for or renew their passports without the need to visit a formal passport office, offering a convenient and efficient alternative. “Applicants should secure their appointments early and bring the necessary documents for the application process. They must carry original documents for verification, including address proof such as Aadhaar card, bank passbook, water bill, postpaid mobile bill, or gas connection documents, and date of birth proof such as a matriculation certificate, birth certificate, or PAN card.” Kumar said.
